FAQs
Most lifts should be serviced at least every six months, although this can vary depending on the type of lift, its age, and how frequently it is used. High traffic lifts in commercial buildings may require more frequent visits. At Nomad Lifts we will assess your lift and recommend a maintenance schedule that suits your specific requirements.
Yes. We offer a 24/7 emergency lift breakdown service, 365 days a year, for both contracted and non-contracted customers across the South West. Our contracted customers benefit from a priority response service with guaranteed attendance times and a dedicated 24/7 on call engineer. Non-contracted customers are also welcome to call us in an emergency and we will do our very best to attend as quickly as possible.
Yes. We offer bespoke lift maintenance contracts tailored to your specific lift type, usage, and building requirements. We believe every lift is different, so we never offer a one size fits all approach — your contract will be built around what your lift actually needs.
In many cases yes. Lift refurbishment and modernisation can be a highly cost-effective alternative to a full replacement, extending the lifespan of your existing lift while bringing it up to current safety standards. Our engineers will assess your lift and give you honest advice on whether modernisation or replacement is the right option for your building.
Absolutely. We welcome both contracted and non-contracted customers. Whether you need a one-off repair, an emergency callout, or want to discuss a maintenance contract, we are happy to help. Get in touch today for a free quote.
An open protocol lift uses components and software that are not proprietary to a single manufacturer. This means any qualified lift engineer can work on your lift, giving you freedom of choice when it comes to maintenance and repairs. At Nomad Lifts we always use open protocol parts, keeping your options open.
We maintain all types of lift systems regardless of make, model, or age. This includes passenger lifts, goods lifts, platform lifts, disabled access lifts, mobility lifts, glass and scenic lifts, dumb waiters, vehicle transportation lifts, dock levellers, and scissor lifts. If you are unsure whether we cover your lift type, simply get in touch and one of our team will be happy to help.
